Academic Standards

“We strive to develop each child’s spiritual, academic, social, and physical potential.”

Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic School is committed to preparing our students for high school and beyond by providing them with 21st-century skills that will help students succeed in their future educational endeavors.

The school follows the Archdiocese of Miami (ADOM) Standards which consist of the Florida State Standards for English Language Arts and Math in conjunction with the Catholic Identity Standards for Schools.

Accreditation Program

The Florida Catholic Conference Accreditation Program is one of the oldest, most robust, and cutting edge Catholic accrediting programs in the country. In the 1960’s, the Florida bishops appointed a committee to explore accreditation. After studying various systems, they established a program unique to Catholic schools which would guarantee constant and continued improvement, accrediting the first schools in 1969.

The standards have been reviewed and revised throughout the years. The current standards use The National Standards and Benchmarks for Effective Catholic and Secondary Schools, as well as Florida Department of Education and Florida Department of Children and Families requirements .

Accreditrac, LLC created a dynamic platform that is used by schools' faculty and staff, superintendents, visiting teams, and the FCC accreditation staff at every level of the process.
